Health & Safety
Instructors
All activities are delivered under supervised instruction. Our qualified instructors are selected for their professionalism, experience and commitment to developing and inspiring young children. All instructors have received training in health and safety, first aid, instruction practice and where applicable hold the relevant formal qualification. All instructors are sub-contracted to Wildchild and have in place current Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) verification.
Child/Instructor Ratios
Instructor to child ratios vary according to the activity, but here are some examples:
Archery 1:7
Zip-wire 1:1
Crate-Stacking 1:6
Abseiling 1:1
There will be a minimum of 1 Wildchild party-host to supervise children waiting to take part in an activity.
Insurance
Wildchild holds its own Public Liability Insurance. Any company/instructor working with Wildchild also holds its own Public Liability Insurance.
CRB
All instructors hold current CRB verification.
Risk Assessments
Wildchild and/or our sub-contracted instructors carry out a full risk assessment prior to any activity taking part at each venue/location.
Safety Equipment
All children will receive a safety briefing from a trained instructor at the start of each activity and will be required, where necessary, to wear the relevant safety equipment.
First Aid
Our instructors are trained in first-aid.
