Awesome Animation (8-12 years)

Come and discover your film-making potential on this fun animation workshop!  After learning how to draw characters using simple line shapes, you will get the chance to create your own character and model it out of plasticine, ready for animation and filming.  Everyday objects and voices will be used to create and record sound effects to go with your character. Buckets of gravel make great footsteps, you can create phones ringing, heads exploding! (You name it, it's all down to your own imagination!) 

We will also explore the history of animation and other animation techniques including flipbooks where two or more drawings can be spinned or flipped to create movement.  Children will get a chance to try pixelation involving animating and filming themselves and each other to create the appearance of flying or ice-skating on film!

What to Bring: All equipment is included. Please bring packed lunch and drinks. Instruction: Fully qualified and experienced Animation Tutors (All instructors are CRB checked and £5M Public Liability Insurance is held.
