It’s so important for children of all ages to enjoy the benefits of the great outdoors. Whether it’s exploring, kicking up leaves, splashing in muddy puddles, making mud pies or observing bugs in their natural habitat. There’s nothing children love more than letting their naturally inquisitive little minds and bodies free – and that’s what Muddy Bugs is all about!
Weekly outdoor activity sessions
Muddy Bugs hour long outdoor activity classes for children aged 2-5 give young children and their parents the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and engage in fun and creative activities designed to encourage a love and appreciation of the great outdoors.
Encouraging Creativity and Exploration
Children will enjoy a variety of outdoor activities ranging from making bug shelters and mud pies, arts and crafts activities using natural woodland resources, to enjoying games and stories following familiar themes such as The Gruffalo, the Hungry Caterpillar etc.
Six week programmes with activities for every season
With seasonal themes each group of sessions will feature activities designed to learn about and uncover all the best that nature has to offer. So whether it’s mini-beast hunting in Spring, games of hide and seek to make the most of the leafy canopies and hiding places in Summer, or creating works of art from the colourful leaves that fall in the autumn – children will discover that there’s something interesting and delightful about every season.
Make new friends and enjoy quality outdoor time with your child
Muddy Bugs is an hour a week of outdoor fun, free from being still, quiet, clean or tidy! For parents it’s a unique opportunity to spend time with your child enjoying fun, creative and adventurous activities. It’s also a great opportunity for you to meet other parents and for children to make new friends. Every session ends with a warming cup of tea/coffee for parents and the chance for kids to squeeze in an extra few minutes of play!!
